The once proud HMS Warspite is broken up on the beach of St. Michael's Mount. She went adrift for three days, and ended up on the rocks in Prussia Cove. The wreck was lightened, sealed, and raised. She was not seaworthy enough to tow to the Clyde, so she was beached on St. Michael's Mount and broken up over the course of several year. Large chunks of the wreck remain there.

The HMS Nelson waits her turn at the breakers.
